The
general theme of my research activities is how individual
and social well-being should be defined, measured and
distributed for the purposes of informing public policy.
The focus of much of my current research is on developing
measures of utility based on people's experiences that
could be used by academics and policy-makers in conjunction
with more traditional preference-based measures. I am also
developing methods for eliciting social preferences in
relation to the distribution of health. More recently, I
have become interested in applying these general issues to
the specific context of stammering.
