Dr. Per Alm is a
researcher in neuropsychology at Uppsala University,
Sweden, also working at the Stuttering Information Center
of Denmark. His research has focused on the causal
mechanisms of stuttering, with theoretical work regarding
the role of the basal ganglia system and cerebral
mechanisms, and empirical studies of background factors,
neuromuscular reactivity, temperament, etc.
